About Us

Franklin Middle School is situated in the county seat of Pennington County of northwestern Minnesota.  

Our school consists of grades 6-8, with approximately 460 students in our building.  There are 7 class periods each day, where students are allowed many options for elective courses in addition to their required core subjects.  Classes begin daily at 8:10 a.m. & end at 3:00 p.m.

The mission of Franklin Middle School is to provide a safe, caring, and productive environment that encourage the growth of knowledge, self-esteem, life-skills, citizenship, and global awareness.  Franklin Middle School challenges all students to experience success while actively engaging in learning and exploring independently and cooperatively.  Students are also encouraged to participate in our extra-curricular activities.  There are a variety of activities available for all students.

Our school, students, and caring staff are Responsible, Respectful, and Safe. The goals of our building are to continue to improve student achievement and to encourage all students to be involved in activities or extra curricular activities.
